Teen alcohol and drug use is a public health and safety problem that results in serious personal, social, and economic consequences for adolescents, their families, communities, and the Nation as a whole. If you think your child may be using, there is help available.

Lodi Community Action Team (LCAT) - LCAT's primary goal is to build community to empower youth to make healthy life choices. LCAT provides community wide ATODA services and collaborates with middle and high school organizations to create healthy relationships that empower the youth to succeed. 

University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics' Adolescent Alcohol/Drug Assessment Intervention Program (UWHC-AADAIP) - is a comprehensive alcohol and drug evaluation program providing screening, assessments, intervention and referral services for youth and their families. UWHC-AADAIP provides assessments for Dane County adolescents up to age 18, and youth who are still in high school or an HSED/GED program up to age 21. Free alcohol and drug abuse screenings are available without appointment at 4pm on the first and third Wednesdays of every month. Call (608) 262-1111.

NewStart - NewStart is Meriter Hospital’s rehabilitation program for substance use disorders. NewStart offers comprehensive, individualized treatment that addresses the special needs of youth ages 12-18. NewStart services are designed to have a minimum disruption in the patient’s daily activities, so that adolescents, families and caregivers can continue with school, work and their home lives. Journey Mental Health Center, Inc.  (JMHC) - JMHC is a private, non-profit corporation located in Madison, WI that serves residents of Southern Wisconsin. Call (608) 280-2700.

Alcoholics Anonymous in Madison, WI - Alcoholics Anonymous is a group of men and women that meet to share experiences and solve their common problem of alcohol abuse. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership.  Call (608) 222-8989.

Lutheran Social Services (LSS) - LSS can provide assessment and evaluation, individual treatment, family group treatment, adolescent group treatment, and parent group treatment. LSS accepts most insurance and also provides services on a sliding fee scale for uninsured clients. Call (608) 277-0610.

Connections Counseling - Connections Counseling is a certified outpatient drug/alcohol and mental health clinic. They offer numerous college and adolescent groups and are a Dean Healthcare provider for Alcohol and Drug specific services. Call (608) 233-2100.

Family Service, Inc. - Family Service, Inc. provides a full continuum of Alcohol and Drug Treatment services from prevention for individuals experiencing the first signs of a substance problem through intensive outpatient programs for those experiencing substance abuse or dependence problems. UW Health Behavioral Health and Recovery Clinic - Adolescent services include a comprehensive assessment that encourages the participation of the adolescent's parent or caregiver. Education groups provide information about substance use and recovery for young people. Additional separate groups for boys and girls allow them to explore their specific needs and the challenges they face. Call (608) 282-8270.
